Susan
Gardner
is Executive Editor of

, a monthly magazine dedicated to promoting good local governance across
Canada
. Each month, she helps readers explore new concepts, innovations, and best practices ideas she hopes they can distil and synthesize to apply in their own communities.
A graduate of the
University
of
Western Ontario
,
Susan
has held the AMCT designation of the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of
Ontario
since 1993, and is a director on the association’s Zone 1 executive.
In her own community,
Susan
has held active governance roles for a number of local non-profits. She currently serves as treasurer and governance committee chair for the board of directors of the Elgin Community Futures Development Corporation, an organization devoted to rural economic and social development in
Elgin
County
(
Ontario
).
Susan
researches, writes and speaks on sustainability issues and frameworks for the municipal sector.
